"America's Founding Son: John Quincy Adams, from President to Political Maverick" by Bob Crawford.
I was honored to be asked by Bob Crawford, Bassist for the Grammy-nominated band The Avett Brothers, to illustrate his first book about John Quincy Adams. As an homage to the style of political cartoons and illustrations of the early 1800’s, like those found in newspapers and books of the day, I enjoyed researching the era, clothing and architecture of the period to attempt to illustrate the scenes outlined in the book as authentically as I could in my style.
